Terrie Preskitt-Brown, Soprano, has been singing professionally since she was in high school. A magna cum laude graduate of TCU, Ms. Preskitt-Brown holds degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education. She has used her knowledge in both throughout her career.

She has been soloist for many major works with orchestra, including Brahms' Requiem, Haydn's Creation, Mozart's Solemn Vespers, Handel's Messiah and Dixit Dominus, Rutter's Requiem, Fauré's Requiem, Poulenc's Gloria, Bach's Mass in B minor, St. Matthew Passion, St. John Passion, and numerous other cantatas, masses, and major works. Her European debut occurred in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna and continued through Germany.

While at TCU she earned the Nordan Fine Arts Scholarship, the Performer's Certificate for numerous solo appearances with orchestra, and was named Senior Scholar in Music for the Honors Program.

She was the Soprano Section Leader for Orpheus Chamber Singers for its first 20 years and currently serves as soprano soloist for the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. After teaching Elementary Music and Middle School/High School Choirs, she moved into full-time church music ministry at Highland Park United Methodist Church in 2004, where she served for 15 years as Associate Director of Music.

Her career as a voice teacher spans over 45 years. Her students have been highly successful in TMEA and TPSMEA All-State Choir competitions, with more than 100 earning spots in these prestigious ensembles. Former students are now music educators, professional singers, voice teachers, Broadway performers, collegiate faculty members, cruise ship singers, and performers in musical theatre and opera productions around the world.

For 20 seasons, she served as principal conductor of the Apprentice Chorus, Concert II for Children's Chorus of Greater Dallas, and the Brio Chorus of Greater Dallas Choral Society, conducting regularly at the Meyerson Symphony Center and preparing choruses for the Dallas Symphony, National ACDA, and The Dallas Opera.

Sabrina Martinez, Soprano, is a Spring 2024 graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Ms. Martinez was a member of the TAMUC Chorale, Chamber, and Opera Scenes Ensembles. She participated in musical productions of A Little Night Music by Stephen Sondheim, The Bridges of Madison County by Jason Robert Brown, and Mozart's Le Nozze Di Figaro. The Opera Scenes Ensemble also gave her the opportunity to perform as Cendrillon from Jules Massenet's opera Cendrillon.

As a Chorale and Chamber Choir member, Ms. Martinez performed in churches and schools across the DFW area. Through Chamber Choir, she performed at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City, Catedral de San Juan Bautista in Puerto Rico, and the Natural Bridge Caverns in New Braunfels, Texas.

Ms. Martinez performed as a soloist in two recitals featuring challenging art songs, song cycles, Lieder, and arias by W.A. Mozart, Franz Schubert, Claude Debussy, Francis Poulenc, Hugo Wolf, Undine S. Moore, and many others. The repertoire spanned lyric, soubrette, and dramatic soprano literature, helping her develop a broad understanding of vocal literature, musical technique, and vocal pedagogy.

She competed as a soloist at the Texoma Region Voice Competition and DFW Region Voice Competition of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. In February 2024, she won the Collegiate Vocal Solo Competition hosted by the Plano Civic Chorus.

Ms. Martinez has been a member of the Texas Music Educators Association since 2019. After serving as a Pre-Area alternate in 2018, she earned a place in the 2019 Large School All-State Mixed Choir, giving her firsthand experience with the All-State process. She is thrilled to share her understanding of the voice and help students create music that they love.
