Mixed Contemporary A Cappella

Mane Attraction

Mane Attraction is Sachse High School’s mixed contemporary a cappella ensemble — competitive, cinematic, and built entirely on the human voice.

No band, no backing track. Every bass line, every rhythm, every wall of harmony comes from the singers on stage, wrapped in choreography, soloists, and a full visual show.

What Makes Mane Different

Mane Attraction sits at the intersection of contemporary a cappella, competitive performance, and student-driven artistry.

Mixed Voicing

Treble and bass voices together, covering everything from bass lines to top-line soloists.

Vocal Percussion

The drum kit is a person. Students build beatboxing, groove, and rhythmic-section skills.

Competition

The group prepares for ICHSA, the National A Cappella Convention, and other national-level events.

Full Show

Sets are staged and choreographed, with lighting, wardrobe, and storytelling built in.

Built to Compete.

Mane Attraction is a high-commitment ensemble for singers who want to take contemporary a cappella as far as high school will let them.

Students learn to hold an independent part under pressure, feature and support soloists, run a set with microphones and monitors, and carry a performance from the first downbeat to the final blackout.

Auditioned. Accountable. All In.

Mane Attraction is selected by audition and asks for strong independent musicianship, quick learning, stage presence, and the maturity to rehearse without being managed.

Members are also front-facing representatives of the Sachse Choir program — in the classroom, at competition, on the road, in the community, and in how they treat each other.

Soloists

Every member is a featured voice in the making — solos are earned, coached, and performed live on the microphone.

Out in the Community

Mane Attraction performs well beyond the Sachse auditorium — elementary and middle school visits, district events, community showcases, and program recruiting.

Those performances are where younger singers first see what a cappella can be, and they are a core part of what the group does every year.
